Where to Get the Best Election Day Deals in Greater Los Angeles and SoCal

Tuesday November 3, Election Day, is a big day across the United States. It’s a day to celebrate our right to vote and our ability to fulfill our civic duties as American citizens.

This year has looked a bit different all around, with COVID-19 changing the way we live from traveling, to dining, and now to voting. These hospitality properties and restaurants across Greater LA are offering guests the chance to reward themselves for proudly casting their vote with goodies such as $1 cocktails, free cookies and discounts on overnight staycations or daycation packages. One hotel is even offering voters the chance to cast fill out their ballot onsite.

From deals for al fresco dining and to-go orders, to staycation overnight hotel stays these businesses are adhering to local safety precautions and cleanliness protocols. Check out Greater LA’s Election Day offerings, below and go support some local businesses while supporting your country (in whatever way you feel most comfortable doing so). Just don’t forget that sticker (and more importantly, your MASK!)!

The Meritage Collection (Huntington Beach, La Jolla)

For the entire month of November, travelers or locals can present proof of voting at the Meritage Collection’s California properties and receive 30% off their stay at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, Vista Collina Resort & Spa and The Meritage Resort & Spa. Pasea Hotel & Spa is also offering 25% off stays all month long (Use code “VOTE”).

Additionally, guests will receive a complimentary bottle of wine and a $25 food and beverage credit to drink or snack their way through the election results, as well as access to the Bedside Reading program, which offers a selection of best-selling books to help guests unwind regardless of the outcome. Guests can curl up and watch election results live from their rooms or opt to get outside instead to enjoy the vineyards, beaches or gardens!

Through Nov. 3, Les Cactus, the recently opened and ultra-trendy boutique hotel in Greater Palm Springs, is offering 10% discounts on all reservations with valid proof of voter registration with the new “Vote & Vacay” package. Guests can de-stress at the 27-room oasis, kicking back at the pool and soaking up the desert sun while patiently awaiting the results.

The Historic Hotel Figueroa (DTLA)

This year, amidst the most pivotal presidential election season in American history, the historic Hotel Figueroa, one of Los Angeles’ most iconic hotels is continuing its legacy as a pillar of its community by announcing that it will be an official polling place from October 30 – November 3 for the 2020 Presidential Election. With this hinge point in history coinciding with the 100th anniversary of women receiving the right to vote, Hotel Figueroa knew it was only natural to become involved and help its community safely navigate the election season.

L.A. locals voting at Hotel Figueroa will be directed to the hotel’s historic Gran Sala event space to cast their ballots in a safe, socially distanced environment for the four days leading up to the election & on Election Day itself:

The hotel is embodying ‘heartfelt hospitality’ by opening its doors to community members for one of the most pivotal presidential elections in American history. This month, Hotel Figueroa’s Gran Sala space will be outfitted with socially distanced polling booths, and the hotel has implemented strict health & safety guidelines to provide a safe setting for Angelenos to participate in the electoral process, which is essential to the democratic process.

Afterwards, voters can reward themselves for fulfilling their civic duties by grabbing a bite to eat (or a margarita) at onsite poolside eatery, Veranda which serves up authentic Mexico City-inspired menu, paired with the tropical vibes of the existing decor.

The Kimpton Sawyer (Sacramento, CA) 

The Kimpton Sawyer is a boutique hotel experience for Sacramento visitors, and a “see-and-be-seen” place for locals at the center of the dynamic and ever-expanding  DOCO (Downtown Commons). Outside the hotel, guests and visitors can enjoy all that Sacramento has to offer – discovering the many vibrant murals that fill the city’s streets; touring a local brewery in the hip R Street Corridor; biking excursions along the Sacramento River, and more…

Hyatt Regency Indian Wells is nestled on 45 acres of lush landscape with towering palms, and panoramic golf and mountain views. The recently renovated property opened a new waterpark with dual waterslides, lazy river and splash pads and offers 530 guest rooms, including deluxe rooms, suites and luxury villas, along with multiple dining options, a 30,000 sq. foot spa & fitness center, and recreation activities including tennis and championship golf. L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele (Hollywood) – Recognized as the “best pizza in Naples,” da Michele’s first U.S. location uses the same recipes and imports the same ingredients used at its origin restaurant. On Election Day, this restaurant is offering a complimentary salted chocolate chip cookie per person with an “I Voted” sticker. Offer valid for dine-in only.

Bardonna (Santa Monica) This self-proclaimed “Holy Grail of Brunch Spots” is offering $5 off any all-day brunch order of $20 or more when you show your “I Voted” sticker on Election Day.

Counterpart Vegan (Echo Park) This plant-based, trendy but cozy restaurant in Echo Park is giving out $1 “DoNut Be Silent” vegan donuts for anyone wearing an “I Voted” sticker on Election Day.

Guerrilla Tacos – (DTLA) From now until November 4, this Arts District spot famous for its fire tacos will be giving a free coffee to anyone wearing an “I Voted” sticker.

Jerry’s Patio Cafe & Bar (Marina Del Rey) – From October 24th through Election Day, this recently reopened Marina del Rey deli will be offering free election-themed cookies to customers wearing their “I Voted” stickers.

Openaire (Koreatown) – This trendy bar and brunch spot will be offering select $1 cocktails to anyone wearing an “I Voted” sticker from now until Election Day. (Limit one per person).

Theía (Beverly Grove area) – Theía -located on 3rd– is a lively restaurant lounge concept that aspires to captivate guests through its chic ambiance, inventive cocktails, and contemporary Greek cuisine. On Election Day, Theía is offering one complimentary dessert of choice per person with an “I Voted” sticker. Dessert options include: Karithopita, Coffee Baklava, Pistachio Baklava or Le Café de la Place Ice Cream. Offer valid on dine-in or takeout with the order of an entrée.

Tacos Tu Madre (Across LA) – $1 red velvet churros when you show your “I Voted” sticker on Election Day paired with fantastic and famously recognized LA Tacos.

Uncle Paulie’s Deli (Beverly Grove or DTLA) – Buy a sandwich at either location, and get a second sandwich for free with your “I Voted” sticker through Election Day.

Uncool Burger (Larchmont) – This hot burger spot is offering free fries with any smashburger purchase when you show your “I Voted” sticker on Election Day.
